Solitude is Painful

I like solitude. Especially in the mountains and the deserts. And I have always liked Solitude, the mountain resort. But I had forgotten how challenging, technical, and brutally painful the race course up there is. A lot of rocks, roots, narrow singletrack and tight, sketchy switchbacks make up this epic course. We scrape the 9,000 foot mark, after climbing up a steep service road, only to plunge down what has to be the longest descent on the Intermountain Cup circuit.

It ought to be an absolute blast.
